Pianist Kimi Kawashima lives in Salt Lake City, and enjoys a career as a performer, teacher, and administrator. She is Artistic Director of NOVA Chamber Music Series, and is frequently featured at the Grand Teton Music Festival. She recently appeared as a soloist with the Longview, Lubbock, and Yakima Orchestras, and has curated and performed in acclaimed programs with groups such as Musiqua, Aperio, and the River Oaks Chamber Orchestra. She received the MM and DMA degrees in piano performance from Rice University, where she won the School’s Concerto Competition and the Theodore Presser Award. She is Director of Music at Westminster University.
