JUST WHAT WE NEED THIS WINTER: an afternoon of J. S. Bach’s most intimate, elegant, and personal works for keyboard. Originally written for harpsichord or clavichord, pianists have continued for 200 years to play these buoyant, graceful, and deeply soulful compositions. Brian Connelly performs a varied selection of Bach’s uplifting masterpieces, on two of Context’s gorgeous historical fortepianos.
